We are able to provide details of a number of clients from varying industry and sectors to provide references for the work we do. Please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange provision of this information.

We allocate every client with a Client Manager, who is a qualified accountant. They are responsible for building the relationship with each client, and preparing the year end accounts and management accounts. The Partner will visit the Client a couple of times a year to provide extra advice or support as relevant. In this way, you have the relationship, directly with the person that is preparing the work and has the hands on knowledge of your business.

We have a policy of visiting our clients at least four times a year. This is to ensure that our Client Manager sees your business and understands it. However, there will be times when you want to have the meeting away from your place of work, and we are happy to facilitate that at our offices. It really comes down to what is easier for you.

Abdul Khaliq formed the business some forty years ago with offices in Hastings. In the 1990’s offices were opened in Brighton. The offices in Hastings were closed at the end of the 90’s and all work was prepared from Brighton. In 2007 we opened offices in Sandwich Kent, and in 2010 we opened our offices in Canterbury Kent. We now operate from these three offices with 25 staff.

We have three partners, Abdul Khaliq Qureishi, Naz Khaliq and Alex Wolfe. Abdul and Alex run the Brighton Office and Naz runs the Canterbury and Sandwich Offices. We have 25 staff split between the offices, made up of Accountants, Payroll and VAT specilists and Admin staff.

We pride ourselves on being a sensible stopping ground for business advice. Our in-house team can offer specialist advice on a number of areas. If we cannot provide the support in-house, then we have a very select group of Associates that we can refer you to that will be able to provide the advice. From tax planning, Financial Planning, Insurance to Insolvency we have very good people that can help.

We have a very transparent price structure. We work on a fixed fee basis. This means that when we provide you with a quote, that will be the fixed price and that quote will not be varied during the year, unless you change the services you want.

The fee is based on turnover, quality of accounting records and transaction numbers. Once it has been agreed, and it is fair to both sides, then we divide it by twelve and take it over a monthly standing order.

We do not charge extras. If you ask us to complete work that relates to the services in the quote, then we will do this, no matter how long it takes.

In this way, the onus is on us to prepare the work, correctly and efficiently, to ensure our profitability.

By law, an accountant can usually only give a limited amount of investment advice unless he/she is registered with the Financial Services Authority as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). So we recommend one of our Associates, and we will be happy to introduce you.

Our Client Manager and Partners will give you their mobile number as well as the office number. If you have a general query that someone in the office can answer, then the response will be immediate. If it requires a considered response from the Client Manager and they are in a meeting, then they will ring you back as soon as they are done.

Our commitment is to visit our clients a minimum of four times a year, it may be more. In this way we can get a proper understanding of how the business works, and provide advice based on what we see and understand. In this way, we are able to offer more regular, and more relevant advice than our competitors.

We pride ourselves on working closely with start-up and small businesses. We look to be a business adviser as much as an accountant and can help with analysing problems and offering solutions, helping with practical advice on financial management, cashflow forecasting, borrowing, risk management, leasing and any other matters that crop up. We can always attend for a meeting or be at the end of the phone.
